The Founders

Ean Brown

The Director

Since graduating as a lawyer at Herbert Smith in 1992, Ean has a wealth of legal experience across several significant global companies.

He has worked primarily with brand-owning companies, such as Speedo, Ellesse, Berghaus, Lacoste and Marubeni Corporation, creating, developing and concluding new business opportunities in many territories.

Ean specialises in complex cross border transactions, M&A and has been involved in listing companies on the Nasdaq and the London Stock Exchange.

Uri Meirovich

The Pilot

Uri brings over 20 years’ experience as a military helicopter pilot and as a commercial leader in technology companies.

He commanded Black Hawk helicopters, achieving the rank of Major (reserve) before moving to the London Business School to obtain his MBA. Uri held C-level positions in multiple technology companies, raising over $30M in financing and building global operations.

Uri specialises in marketing, business development and operations management and has experience in launching eCommerce brands.

Dr Alastair Darwood

The Brains

Alastair is a medical doctor and an experienced medical devices innovator with a proven track record from initial prototyping to commercialisation.

Alastair sold his first venture in 2017 and continues to develop innovations in anaesthesia and orthopaedics. Alastair’s ventilator invention was selected by the UK Cabinet office as part of the country’s COVID-19 response working with RedBull to develop the device in record time.

Alastair is also currently a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College, London.

Sir Chris Hoy MBE

The Legend

Chris is a multiple world and Olympic champion track cyclist and one of Great Britain’s most successful Olympic athletes with six gold medals and one silver medal.

His retirement from competitive cycling in 2013 saw his achievements place him as Scotland’s most successful Olympian, the first Briton since 1908 to win three gold medals in a single Olympic Games and one of the most successful Olympic male cyclists of all time.

Following his retirement, Chris has continued his passion successfully launching a range of super light kids’ bikes, HOY Bikes.  He has also published a series of children’s books – ‘Flying Fergus’ – with 10 instalments and the highly acclaimed ‘Be Amazing’.

A polished public speaker and media presenter, Chris is a main stay amongst sporting commentary and punditry in the UK having been an integral part of the BBC’s team covering the Olympics in Rio and Tokyo.
